A new Baby Boy in the family!!  Naylor Reid Higgins was born Friday, 19 Sept. Robin's due date was October 16th...but he was ready!  Weighing in at an even 6 pounds and 19 inches long, he’s a little fellow but healthy and adorable.  Tons of dark hair!!  A real cutie!  Oh yeah, Mom and Dad are doing well, too!

Robin had an eventful full day on Thursday – maybe that and a fading full moon brought the baby in an estimated 4 weeks early??  As Director of Events of the

NC Symphony, her evening was spent at the Yo-Yo Ma (special performance, celloist) concert at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh.  A trip in the elevator with Yo-Yo was the highlight of the evening!  Grant Llewellyn, Maestro/Music Director, advised Robin not to sit in the choir section of the concert hall – afraid the abrupt bass outburst scattered throughout the performance would startle her and, consequently, cause the baby to be born.  With the performance “sold out”, she and Brian chose to take these available seats anyway.  I guess Grant knows what he’s talking about…she had the baby the next day!  Maybe he knows his music - and he has four children of his own!  It’s a good thing – she was about to POP and I am unsure that she could have made it until the target date of 16 Oct!  All is well that ends well!

Timing was great for Robin - one of her patrons at the Symphony is the president of Rex Hospital.  She saw David Thursday night at the dinner prior to the performance... and when he visited on Friday, it sure got the nurses' attention!  Robin had excellent care!! and a Great room.  THANKS to the Rex Staff - great job!
